Job Summary
Photolithography Layout Technician is responsible for creating, modifying, reviewing, and maintaining photolithography mask layouts used in semiconductor device fabrication. This position works closely with process engineers, design engineers, and manufacturing teams to ensure accurate transfer of circuit patterns onto semiconductor wafers.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and modify semiconductor layouts using CAD/EDA software.
• Prepare photomask data for lithography processes.
• Review layouts for compliance with design rules and manufacturing requirements.
• Perform Design Rule Checks (DRC), Layout Versus Schematic (LVS), and other verification procedures.
• Support mask generation, inspection, and documentation activities.
• Analyze layout-related issues and collaborate with engineers to resolve manufacturing defects.
• Maintain accurate records of mask revisions, process changes, and design updates.
• Assist in process development and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with fabrication and quality teams to ensure production requirements are met.
• Follow cleanroom and safety procedures when supporting manufacturing operations.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical diploma in Electronics Technology, Semiconductor Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• Experience with semiconductor layout tools and CAD software.
• Understanding of photolithography, semiconductor fabrication, and microelectronics processes.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and technical documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, or related discipline.
• Experience with EDA tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, Mentor Graphics Calibre, or Synopsys IC Compiler.
• Knowledge of advanced lithography technologies and mask design.
• Experience working in a semiconductor fab or cleanroom environment.
• Familiarity with process nodes ranging from mature technologies to advanced nodes.
