Role Purpose:
The Mold Technician is responsible for setting up and operating injection mold machines to cast product from raw material to final product, follow set production schedules, prepare required production documentation, and perform the overall inspection of parts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Be able to set-up and operate injection molding machines with existing programs and tooling information.
• Be able to perform most adjustments to molding parameters to produce accurate quality parts.
• Have good understanding of most types of mold tooling used in molding and their proper application.
• Have basic understanding of machine program communication equipment, PC’s, and software.
• Have basic understanding of QA inspection equipment and procedures.
• Be able to work with minimum supervision.
• Required to complete all quality production documents; includes but not limited to First Article Inspection (FAI), Day by Hour Reports, and others as required.
• Required to perform any other duties as assigned

Education and / or Experience:
High school diploma or GED & 2 years minimum experience in mold shop environment.

Mathematical Skills:
Possess basic math skills.

Reasoning Ability:
Must be able to solve simple problems related to mold tooling / quality of product.
