Purpose of Position

Support the Finance Department with the tracking and reconciliation of grant and donor-restricted funding while following GAAP and Agency accounting methods and standards. Monitor grant expenses to provide departments with spend-down assistance and best practices.

Essential Job Functions

Finance

• ·Assist with maintaining accurate accounting records for grant and donor-restricted funding sources in accordance with GAAP, grant agreements, federal/state regulations, and organizational policies.
• Monitor restricted revenue balances and track expenditures to ensure funds are used for their intended purposes and within approved budgets.
• Reconcile grant activity monthly, and ensure restricted revenue is spent down according to purpose, and/ or, time restrictions.
• Assist with preparing and submitting monthly grant invoices and reimbursement requests in a timely manner.
• Import monthly employee payroll donations into donor management system.
• Create monthly donation and intern/volunteer import file to CFO for financial reporting.
• Assist program managers and department leaders with reviewing grant budgets, allowable costs, and remaining available funding.
• Assist with financial and grant reports and audits as needed.
• Assist with creating budgets for grant and foundation applications.
• Assume other duties and responsibilities designated by the CFO or CEO.

Outreach and development

• Collaborate with Operations and Finance teams regarding new awards, grant management, budget modifications, grant spending, and reporting deadlines.

Working conditions

• Hourly wage based on education and experience.
• Office Base: New Braunfels
• Fringe benefits outlined in the organization’s personnel handbook.
• On-Call Duty: None.
• Supervision: Responsible to the Chief Financial Officer.

Minimum qualifications

Knowledge and attitude

• Must be able to meet all requirements of job profile.
• Must be able to work well with others.
• Prior bookkeeping or accounting experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
