Accounting Manager

Location:

International Management Solutions (IMS) is an accounting and consulting firm focused on supporting European companies and their US subsidiaries. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to take ownership of a developing portfolio of international clients.

This role operates in a fast-moving international environment with regular intercompany, multicurrency, and cross-border accounting exposure.

The Role

This role operates in a fast-moving international environment with regular intercompany, multicurrency, and cross-border exposure. You will manage client relationships or demonstrate the ambition and capability to grow into this level of responsibility. The role involves supporting a portfolio of international clients while helping shape the delivery of accounting services within IMS. Responsibilities include:

• Leading client relationships and day-to-day communications
• Reviewing and reconciling balance sheet accounts
• Overseeing bookkeeping, general ledger accuracy, and monthly close processes
• Preparing accurate and timely management accounts
• Coordinating year-end closing to meet management and tax requirements
• Providing accounting and tax-related support across a range of clients
• Coaching and reviewing work from junior staff and associates
• Supporting payroll review processes, if experienced
• Reliably track and record billable client hours on timesheets

What You Bring

• 3–5+ years' experience managing multiple clients in a public accounting or advisory environment
• Experience managing month-end close in a multicurrency and/or intercompany environment
• Experience in an international client or expatriate environment
• Solid understanding of accrual accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting
• Highly proficient in systems such as QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, Xero, and Excel
• Excellent communication, time management, and client service skills
• Interest in US tax or international advisory is a plus
