Position Overview

We are seeking an upbeat, dynamic, and intuitive Corporate Trainer to spearhead our training and development programs. In this role, you will be the driving force behind training new hires and upskilling our existing team. Because we are a full-service household goods moving company, our workforce is highly diverse and spans multiple departments.

The ideal candidate possesses a true "trainer mentality." You don't just read from a script; you actively observe, identify individual and team weaknesses, and construct effective strategies to bridge those gaps. We need a leader who can command a room, earn respect, and seamlessly adapt their training style to connect with every type of individual.

Key Responsibilities

• Multi-Role Training: Design, implement, and deliver comprehensive training programs tailored to different roles.
• Identify & Address Weaknesses: Monitor trainee performance and conduct regular skills gap analyses. Proactively identify areas of struggle and implement targeted coaching to turn those weaknesses into strengths.
• Personality Management: Confidently manage a classroom environment. Build strong relationships and adapt your communication style to motivate diverse character types.
• Curriculum Development: Create and update engaging training materials, modules, guides, and interactive exercises that align with our evolving company goals and industry standards.
• Performance Tracking: Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through KPIs, assessments, and feedback loops, ensuring new hires are set up for long-term success.
• Culture Champion: Infuse your natural, upbeat energy into every training session, welcoming new hires into the American Van Lines family and keeping energy levels high.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Corporate Trainer or a similar role, with a proven track record of training and teaching.
• Industry Familiarity: Experience in the moving, logistics, or transportation industry is a major plus, but not required.
• The "Trainer Mentality": Exceptional ability to diagnose performance issues and provide constructive, actionable feedback.
• Adaptable Communication: Strong emotional intelligence with the ability to handle, respect, and direct diverse personalities.
• High Energy: An upbeat, charismatic, and enthusiastic personality that motivates others and commands attention.
• Organization: Strong project management and organizational skills to handle multiple training timelines simultaneously.
