Internship Program Manager
PROGRAM: Nazareth Prep
REPORTS TO: Head of School
HOURS: Full-Time, 12 Months- Must allow flexibility according to the needs of the program. May include evenings and weekends for special events.
LOCATION: Emsworth Campus
POSITION SUMMARY
Nazareth Prep seeks a mission‑driven, relationship‑focused Internship Program Manager to lead the daily operations and ongoing growth of its nationally recognized internship program. The manager serves as the key connector among students, mentors, employer partners, and school staff—ensuring students are professionally prepared, partners are supported, and all program logistics run smoothly. This role strengthens internship site relationships, coaches students and mentors, and maintains alignment with Nazareth Prep’s mission of preparing students for college, career, and life.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Student Preparation and Success
- Deliver training on workplace expectations, communication, professionalism, time management, and etiquette.
- Track student attendance, engagement, and on‑site performance.
- Meet regularly with students to provide feedback, support, and goal‑setting.
- Work with counselors, teachers, and administrators to address barriers to success.
- Guide students through workplace challenges and skill development.
- Celebrate student growth and accomplishments.
Mentor and Employer Partnership Management
- Serve as the main contact for mentors and employer partners.
- Conduct at least two visits per internship placement each year.
- Maintain strong partnerships and support mentor needs.
- Equip mentors with strategies for working with high school students.
- Gather and act on mentor input regarding student performance and program quality.
- Address concerns promptly and coordinate support plans.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen and expand employer relationships.
Internship Program Administration
- Oversee calendars, schedules, placement records, and documentation.
- Maintain accurate student, mentor, and employer information.
- Manage agreements, paperwork, and regulatory requirements.
- Track attendance, evaluations, site visits, and outcomes; prepare reports for leadership.
- Support matching students to placements and adjusting assignments as needed.
- Organize recognition events and partner engagement activities.
- Maintain the contact management system.
Program Development
- Work with the Head of School to assess and improve program quality.
- Help recruit and retain high‑quality internship partners.
- Develop new placements aligned with student interests and workforce needs.
- Use feedback and outcomes data to enhance student experiences.
- Communicate the program’s value to students, families, and community partners.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Human Resources, Social Work, Counseling, Communications, or related field.
- Two+ years of experience working with youth, education, workforce development, mentoring, or partnership management.
- Strong relationship‑building skills and effective interpersonal communication.
- Excellent organization and project management with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and obtain required clearances (Act 33, Act 34, and FBI).
Preferred
- Experience coordinating internship, workforce development, college and career readiness, or experiential learning programs.
- Experience working with business partners, employers, or community organizations.
- Experience in a school setting.
- Knowledge of workforce readiness and career development practices.
