This is a hybrid position located on the Duluth campus, requiring 3 days on campus per week. A background in STEM is not required.
Overview: Swenson College of Science & Engineering (SCSE) academic advisors at the University of Minnesota Duluth assist students from admission to degree completion. Advisors maintain an assigned student caseload, playing a critical role in supporting students’ academic development, career alignment and personal growth. Advisors actively participate in planning, developing and implementing initiatives designed to enhance advising practices, streamline processes, and elevate the overall undergraduate experience. Advisors work collaboratively with faculty and colleagues across campus to provide holistic support to students.
Responsibilities
Academic Advising, approximately 80% of this position
Program Operation, Development, & Student Engagement, approximately 15% of the position
Professional Development & Service, approximately 5% of the position
