The Irvington Union Free School District is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented professional to serve as District Clerk while supporting student registration and key Business Office operations. This position plays an integral role in ensuring the efficient operation of the Board of Education and District administrative offices.
This is a confidential, managerial (non-union) position. The District Clerk is responsible for handling confidential Board of Education, personnel, and labor relations matters and is therefore not represented by a collective bargaining unit.

Work Schedule:
Full-time. This position requires attendance at Board of Education meetings (typically held in the evening twice per month), as well as Election Day responsibilities and occasional work outside of normal business hours.
Reports To:
Board of Education; operationally to the Superintendent of Schools and Assistant Superintendent for Business
Salary:
$66,000-$71,000
Responsibilities Include:
Prepare Board meeting agendas, attend meetings and draft and publish Board meeting minutes for all meetings of the Board of Education which occur in the evening approximately twice per month
Serve as primary contact for the Board to school administration and community
Organize annual vote for District Budget/Trustee election including:
Manage polling sites, hire and train poll workers
Arrange for voting machines and required publications
Prepare legal notices for publication and postings of Board meetings
Maintain District records including requests for information from the public
Work closely with the Board president, District Counsel and Superintendent
Register new students and review and obtain registration documentation
Interface with school staff for registration of new students
Serve as District Records Officer
Miscellaneous duties to support the Business Office including but not limited to printing purchase orders, Accounts Payable support, accounting for Extra Classroom funds
Other responsibilities that will support Board of Education and District operations as appropriate
