Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our dynamic finance team. Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex tax returns, including individual, corporate, and partnership filings, ensuring compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
• Conduct detailed audits and financial statement preparations in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory standards.
• Manage accounting functions such as general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and balance sheet analysis using accounting software like QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero.
• Assist with estate planning, wills, trusts, and estate law considerations to optimize client wealth transfer strategies.
• Support regulatory compliance accounting efforts related to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and securities law requirements.
• Analyze financial data to interpret trends, prepare reports for management review, and facilitate mergers & acquisitions or investment evaluations.
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding tax reporting obligations, financial concepts, and strategic planning initiatives.

Qualifications

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required with proven experience in public accounting or corporate finance environments.
• Extensive knowledge of tax law, tax compliance, tax reporting, and tax accounting practices.
• Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, financial report writing, and interpretation of complex financial statements.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms; strong skills in double entry bookkeeping and technical accounting standards.
• Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements including SOX compliance and securities law regulations.
• Experience with estate planning tools like wills and trusts as well as LIHTC programs is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and asset management assessments accurately.
• Excellent client communication skills combined with the ability to explain intricate financial concepts clearly and professionally.

Pay: $26.31 - $78.28 per hour
