Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented SQF Practitioner to lead our food safety and quality assurance initiatives in compliance with the Safe Quality Food (SQF) Program standards. As an integral part of our manufacturing team, you will oversee the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our SQF certification processes. Your expertise will ensure that our products meet rigorous safety, quality, and regulatory requirements, fostering a culture of excellence and compliance across all operations. Duties

• Develop, implement, and maintain SQF systems in alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct comprehensive internal audits to verify compliance with SQF, HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices), ISO 9001, and other relevant quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including production, quality control, regulatory affairs, and management—to ensure adherence to food safety regulations such as FDA regulations.
• Facilitate training sessions for staff on SQF requirements, GMP practices, Six Sigma methodologies, and other quality management systems to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
• Prepare detailed reports on audit findings, compliance status, and improvement initiatives to support management decision-making.

Requirements

• Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role within the food or beverage industry.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP principles, CGMP regulations, ISO 9001 standards, FDA regulations, and other regulatory/legal compliance standards relevant to food production.
• Demonstrated expertise in conducting quality audits, quality control procedures, and implementing quality systems such as QA/QC programs.
• Effective team leadership skills coupled with cross-functional communication abilities to foster collaboration across departments.
• Certification as an SQF Practitioner or equivalent is highly preferred; additional certifications in GMP or FDA regulations are advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to maintain accurate documentation of compliance activities.

Pay: $51,349.23 - $61,839.93 per year
