For over 50 years, Acom has earned the trust of customers by providing comprehensive fire, security, and technology solutions and services. We build strong teams by investing in our people, offering real career growth, hands-on support, and a culture built on accountability and teamwork.
Job Summary: In this role, you'll be the face of Acom across Georgia, building and managing a network of realtors, mortgage professionals, and other referral partners who send business our way, and representing Acom at trade shows, sponsorships, and community events statewide.
You'll also help keep our brand consistent across marketing channels, working alongside our content tools (much of our day-to-day content production is AI-assisted) to keep materials sharp and on-brand. The ideal candidate is a natural relationship-builder who's energized by meeting people, growing partnerships, and turning community presence into real, trackable leads.
Responsibilities Include:
- Build, grow, and manage a formal referral partner program with realtors, mortgage brokers, home inspectors, and other local referral sources, including outreach, onboarding, and ongoing relationship management.
- Represent Acom at trade shows, networking events, community engagements, sponsorships, and industry conferences across Georgia, with a focus on generating qualified leads and new referral partnerships.
- Track and report on referral partner activity, leads generated, and conversion to closed business, including administering Acom's referral partner incentive program.
- Identify and pursue sponsorship and co-marketing opportunities that align with Acom's target customer base.
- Coordinate and execute marketing initiatives that support Acom's brand awareness, business development, and growth objectives.
- Ensure consistent brand messaging across marketing channels, social media platforms, events, and company communications, using Acom's AI-assisted content tools and templates.
- Schedule and manage content for social media and other marketing campaigns.
- Research target industries, vertical markets, industry associations, competitors, and business opportunities, and bring recommendations back to leadership.
- Maintain marketing collateral, sales support materials, branded templates, and other customer-facing resources (AI-assisted tools handle much of the production work).
- Collaborate with leadership, sales teams, and subject matter experts to support company objectives.
What You Bring to Us:
- 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, real estate, community outreach, marketing, or public relations (fire/security industry experience a plus, not required).
- A natural relationship-builder who genuinely enjoys networking, meeting people, and being the face of a brand in the community.
- Comfort initiating conversations, following up consistently, and nurturing long-term referral relationships.
- Active and engaging social media presence (LinkedIn essential; Facebook a plus).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools is a plus, not a requirement.
- Organized self-starter who can manage multiple partnerships, projects, and community commitments at once.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for periodic in-state travel to events (company-compensated; typically less than one day per week).
What We Bring to You:
- Performance incentives for each new active referral partner signed, and commission for each qualified lead that converts to closed business.
- Flexible schedule and generous PTO to encourage a work-life balance.
- Comprehensive insurance package, including company-paid life insurance and long-term disability.
- 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan & Employer Match.
- Hands-on training and real career growth within a 50+ year, employee-invested company.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout event venues and customer locations for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends for community events, trade shows, and networking functions.
- Ability to communicate clearly in person, over the phone, and in group settings.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, on-the-go environment across multiple event and customer locations.
