Marius is an authentic French artisan bakery bringing the traditions of France to St. Charles.
Every day, our team bakes handcrafted sourdough breads, viennoiseries, pastries, and premium sandwiches entirely from scratch. We use traditional French techniques, natural fermentation, and carefully selected ingredients imported from France whenever possible, including our flours and many of our premium raw ingredients.
Our entire bakery production team is French, bringing authentic expertise, traditional techniques, and genuine French bakery culture directly to St. Charles. Every product is handcrafted daily by experienced French artisan bakers committed to exceptional quality.
We are looking for a friendly, energetic, and customer-focused Barista & Bakery Associate who enjoys creating memorable experiences for every guest.

Responsibilities
- Welcome every customer with a warm, genuine, and professional attitude.
- Prepare espresso drinks including espresso, cappuccino, latte, macchiato, and Americano.
- Serve artisan breads, croissants, pastries, desserts, and premium sandwiches.
- Help customers choose products and explain our breads, pastries, and French specialties.
- Educate customers about our traditional sourdough breads, viennoiseries, and seasonal offerings.
- Operate the POS system and process customer transactions accurately.
- Maintain an attractive and well-stocked bakery display throughout the day.
- Restock products and monitor inventory levels.
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards.
- Keep the café and dining area clean, organized, and inviting.
- Work efficiently with the bakery production team.
- Deliver exceptional customer service every day.
Qualifications
- Previous café, bakery, restaurant, or customer service experience is preferred.
- Barista experience is a plus, but we are happy to train the right candidate.
- Friendly, positive, and reliable personality.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
- Weekend availability is preferred.
