Position Summary

Stockton Mortgage Corporation is seeking a seasoned and forward-thinking Mortgage Product Development Manager to lead the strategic direction and ongoing management of our mortgage product set. This role is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end product lifecycle, including concept development, market introduction, performance optimization, and on-going maintenance. The individual will ensure all products are aligned with investor requirements, agency guidelines, and regulatory expectations, while remaining competitive in the marketplace.

As a key leader within the organization, this role serves as a central point of coordination among Sales, Capital Markets, Operations, Legal, and Compliance, ensuring products are both strategically sound and operationally executable.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Product Development & Portfolio Management

· Drive the strategic planning and expansion of the mortgage product suite by identifying emerging market opportunities and evolving customer needs

· Collaborate with senior Mortgage Origination leaders to define product priorities, rollout strategies, and performance benchmarks

· Oversee all phases of product development, from initial concept and business case through launch, monitoring, and maintenance

· Establish product guidelines, eligibility standards, pricing approaches (in conjunction with Sales and Capital Markets), and operational frameworks to ensure efficiency and compliance

· Act as the internal authority on mortgage products, providing guidance and expertise across the organization

Investor & Agency Engagement

· Maintain and strengthen relationships with Agency partners and investors, serving as a primary escalation and communication contact

· Develop deep expertise in conventional and government loan programs, including FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, USDA, and non-agency investors

· Assess and onboard new investor relationships and product offerings to improve overall execution and competitiveness

· Oversee investor agreements and ensure alignment with institutional objectives and compliance standards

Execution & Continuous Improvement

· Lead cross-functional efforts to execute product launches, ensuring clear timelines, accountability, and communication

· Track production performance, product utilization, and market responsiveness, providing actionable recommendations

· Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve speed to market, and increase operational effectiveness

· Ensure strict adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and investor guidelines

· Support governance activities, including product approval processes and executive-level reporting

Qualifications

· 7–10+ years of mortgage industry experience, with strong expertise in:

o Capital Markets and/or Product Development and Investor Relations

· Demonstrated ability to work across departments and influence senior leaders and decision-makers

· Extensive experience managing investor and Agency recertifications end-to-end

· Proven track record of maintaining uninterrupted investor approval status

· Strong understanding of mortgage guidelines, underwriting principles, and loan salability standards

· Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail

· Excellent communication and presentation abilities, including interaction with executive stakeholders

· Ability to manage multiple high-impact initiatives in a fast-paced environment

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools

· Bachelor’s degree preferred

Compensation

Salary will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and geographic location.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
