Job Summary
IES is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented BIM Technician to join our BIM division of our overall innovative team.

Responsibilities

• 3D Modeling & Drafting – Transform contract documents, sketches, notes, and engineering markups into detailed 2D and 3D models, construction documents, and fabrication/shop drawings.
• Clash Detection & Coordination – Review models for physical and spatial conflicts between building systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical, and structural) and assist in coordinating resolutions.
• Project Collaboration – Work closely with project managers, field personnel, engineers, contractors, and design teams to ensure installations align with project requirements, construction documents, and applicable codes.
• Content Development – Create, maintain, and organize Revit families and BIM content libraries to support project standards and workflow efficiency.
• Quality Control – Review drawings and models for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company and client & project standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; Associate's degree, technical certification, or equivalent training in BIM, Revit, CAD, or related fields preferred.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience using Revit and CADD for MEPFP drafting and BIM modeling preferred.
• Understanding of architectural, structural, and MEPFP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection) systems and construction document standards.
• Ability to identify discrepancies, coordinate solutions, and assist with Requests for Information (RFIs).
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

Pay: $29.00 - $32.00 per hour
