In this role, you will translate engineering blueprints into flat patterns and optimized toolpath programs for our state-of-the-art CNC lasers, punches, and press brakes.

Key Responsibilities

• Program & Nest: Utilize CAD/CAM software to create highly efficient nesting and programming for CNC laser cutters, turret punches, and combination machines.
• Blueprint Translation: Interpret complex 2D engineering drawings and 3D models (STEP, IGES, SolidWorks) to determine appropriate bend allowances, material types, and tolerances.
• Flat Pattern Development: Calculate correct bend deductions and K-factors to develop accurate flat layouts.
• Process Optimization: Select optimal tooling, cutting parameters, and gas selections to maximize material yield and reduce cycle times.
• Shop Floor Collaboration: Work closely with setup operators, bend technicians, and quality control to troubleshoot program errors and optimize first-article production.
• File Management: Maintain organized digital libraries of parts, revisions, and production programs.

## Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience in precision sheet metal programming.
• Software Expertise: Proficiency in industry-standard CAD/CAM software (e.g., Amada AP100US and SolidWorks).
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes, including laser cutting, punching, forming limits, and material behavior (aluminum, stainless, steel).
• Math Skills: Strong geometric and trigonometric skills for flat pattern calculations.
• Precision: Ability to read calipers, micrometers, and protractors; comfortable working with tight tolerances (e.g., $\pm 0.005$ inches).

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
