The Role

As a Veterinary Technician Supervisor, you will lead one of our specialty or acute-care departments, overseeing technicians and assistants working in clinically demanding, high-stakes environments.

This role is for someone who:

• Is already a go-to technician
• Leads through competence, consistency, and presence
• Thinks in systems, not just shifts
• Balances patient care excellence with team sustainability
• Is comfortable making decisions and holding standards

You will not be micromanaged. You will be expected to lead.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Leading, coaching, and developing technicians within your assigned department
• Setting and enforcing clinical, behavioral, and operational standards
• Partnering closely with specialists, ER clinicians, and hospital leadership
• Overseeing onboarding, training, and progression through defined leveling frameworks
• Addressing performance concerns early, directly, and fairly
• Improving workflows, reducing friction, and protecting patient safety
• Serving as a visible, trusted leader on the floor

This is a working leader role. Clinical credibility is non-negotiable.

Qualifications

• Credentialed Veterinary Technician (preferred)
• Leadership experience in a veterinary setting
• Strong clinical background in specialty and/or emergency medicine
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to lead through complexity, urgency, and change
