As the first point of contact, you aren't just answering phones—you are building bonds with our clients, providing a professional image to every visitor, and ensuring our patients feel welcomed from the moment they walk in.
Schedule & Availability
We are currently hiring for the following core shift, with the understanding that hours may be extended based on the needs of the clinic:
- Monday-Wednesday: 7:10 AM – 5:30 PM
- Friday: 7:10 AM – 5:30 PM
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
Your role is a dynamic blend of administrative excellence and patient support:
- Client Relations: Greet clients, manage multi-line phones, coordinate correspondence.
- Patient Support: Escort pets to exam rooms, potential to assist veterinarians with evaluations/immunizations, and provide "C.A.A.R.E." (including nail trims, teeth brushing, and basic grooming).
- Clinical Knowledge: Learn to explain vaccine requirements, deworming protocols, and health consultations to clients.
- Administration: Competently utilize veterinary software, invoice services, update financial records.
- Safety & Care: Follow OSHA regulations and strict isolation protocols for contagious animals to keep our facility and team safe.
Position Requirements
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Typing/Computer Skills: Ability to type 30 WPM. Proficiency in Word Processing, email, and internet navigation is required.
- Professional Background: Significant experience with office functions in a busy environment. (Previous veterinary or high-end customer service experience is a plus, but not required)
Personal & Physical Attributes
- Adaptability: A flexible attitude and the ability to learn/spell complex veterinary terminology quickly.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to lift/carry records and equipment up to 25 lbs and stand or sit for extended periods.
- Working Conditions: Comfortable working in an environment with exposure to animal noises, odors, and the physical realities of a clinical setting.
