THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE
Position is located at corporate offices in Bolingbrook, IL (Hybrid work schedule – approx. 6 days in office per month)
This role leads organizational effectiveness and organizational design at Ulta Beauty in direct connection with the broader talent strategy. You will translate enterprise talent priorities into practical, scalable solutions that elevate how the organization operates and how leaders lead.
You will shape organizational structure, define clear leadership expectations, and build tools and frameworks that create consistency and clarity across the enterprise. This role has direct impact on how teams are designed, how leaders make decisions, and how talent strategy shows up in day-to-day work.
Working closely with HR Business Partners and senior leaders, you will embed high-impact leadership practices and drive alignment across corporate, distribution center, and store teams. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our talent strategy is not just defined – but adopted, applied, and continuously improved.
YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY:

Leading organizational design work, including structure assessments, spans & layers analysis, and operating model clarity

Building and scaling organizational design tools, frameworks, and guidance for consistent use across the enterprise

Serve as a consultant and partner to the business and PSBP team as organizational design work is needed within the functional areas of the business

Defining and translating leadership expectations into clear, actionable behaviors, tools, and resources

Creating practical, leader-facing resources that clearly articulate what strong leadership looks like in practice

Partnering with HR Business Partners to embed consistent, high-quality leadership practices across teams

Supporting targeted development strategies for senior leaders aligned to succession priorities

Supporting enterprise leadership experiences (e.g., onboarding and high-potential programs) to ensure alignment to talent strategy

Translating talent strategy into tangible solutions that drive adoption, consistency, and measurable impact

Partnering cross-functionally to assess needs, shape solutions, and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment

Continuously refining tools and approaches based on feedback, outcomes, and evolving business needs

As needed, serve as program management support on key talent strategy program designs and implementations in partnership with the Talent Program Managers

THE ESSENTIALS OF SUCCESS

8+ years of proven experience in organizational design, talent strategy, and leadership effectiveness within a large, complex organization

Strong ability to translate strategy into practical, scalable tools and solutions that drive adoption

Experience partnering across HR and business leadership to influence decisions and drive alignment

Demonstrated ability to define clear expectations and translate them into observable leadership behaviors

Strong systems thinker, able to connect organization design, leader effectiveness, and business outcomes

Skilled at balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution and delivery

Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders

Highly collaborative, with a track record of building trust and driving alignment across stakeholders

Strong project management and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams

Highly collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable navigating ambiguity

: The pay range for this position is $106,000.00 - $140,000.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company’s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability benefits. Part-time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
