Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Site Surveyor to join our team and play a key role in the success of commercial solar projects nationwide. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, technically capable, and able to work independently while ensuring accurate data collection and professional client interaction.

Bolingbrook / Romeoville / Aurora area (Greater Chicago Area)

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site structural site surveys for commercial projects across the U.S.
• Capture all required measurements, photos, and roof framing sketches according to company standards.
• Coordinate scissor lift rentals and scheduling efficiently to align with survey needs.
• Maintain professional communication and conduct with clients and property owners.
• Prepare and upload complete survey documentation promptly, including organized photo sets and dimensioned sketches.
• Collaborate closely with engineers and designers to ensure accurate project design data.
• Adhere strictly to all safety protocols during site work.
• Manage multiple survey assignments with strong organization and reliability.

Qualifications

• 2+ year of experience conducting site surveys, preferably in solar, structural, or construction environments.
• Proficiency in using measurement tools and producing clear, dimensioned sketches.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Professional demeanor and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to travel nationwide (transportation and lodging covered when applicable).
• Basic understanding of solar PV systems is a plus but not required.
• Must provide a sample structural site survey package with application for evaluation.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $35.00 - $60.00 per hour
