Duties

• Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients according to established recipes and standards
• Support the kitchen team with food handling, cooking, and plating to ensure timely delivery of orders
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed
• Follow food safety protocols diligently to uphold hygiene standards and prevent cross-contamination
• Help with menu planning and ingredient inventory management to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked and efficient
• Support catering events or special functions by preparing ingredients and assisting with setup and breakdown
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and excellent food service experience

Skills

• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food handling safety practices
• (For line cooks) Knife skills and familiarity with meal preparation processes in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in restaurant or food industry settings demonstrating reliable food service skills
• Ability to follow recipes accurately while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
• Knowledge of culinary principles, food safety, and sanitation
• Good physical stamina for standing long hours, lifting heavy items, and working efficiently under pressure
