General Description: Key position with responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:

• Act as first contact for service customers via telephone and in person in a manner that creates a trusting relationship thereby promoting customer retention and loyalty.
• Inspect stored boats on property to identify problems and convey the problems to the customer.
• Prepare accurate written estimates for service work and parts
• Act as liaison between customer, manufacturer reps and technicians.
• Maintain digital job schedule
• Work with Parts Manger to order required parts for repairs.
• Input and track work orders via Dockmaster Software. Enter technicians’ and yard team’s labor times in work orders.
• Perform timely follow-up with customer.
• Assist technicians and yard crew as needed
• Work Experience Required:
• Two years of experience as a marine mechanical technician or marine yard team member.
• Strong working knowledge of parts and supplies used in the maintenance and repair of commercial and pleasure boats
• Ability to read/use technical manuals, parts books and drawings.
• Integrity and strong work ethic.
• Excellent customer service skills as well as communication skills both verbal and written.
• Ability to multi-task and remain cool under pressure.
• Computer proficiency to include Internet, MSOffice products, especially Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of Dockmaster Software or other marine services software is a plus

High School Diploma or GED.

Job Type: Full-time
