Customer Service Representative for a growing and well-established specialty manufacturing client in the Twin Cities. This
temp-to-hire opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced office environment, enjoys supporting business customers, and takes pride in delivering exceptional service.
This is a
business-to-business (B2B) customer service role where you'll serve as the primary point of contact for customers, processing orders, answering product and service questions, and partnering closely with internal sales and service teams to ensure an outstanding customer experience. In addition to customer support, you'll assist with a variety of administrative and operational responsibilities that help keep the office running efficiently.
Essential Job Duties:
- Process customer purchase orders received via phone, email, and fax with accuracy and efficiency.
- Serve as the first point of contact for B2B customers by answering questions, resolving concerns, and providing exceptional customer service.
- Prepare customer quotes and provide inside sales support.
- Process credit card transactions and customer credit applications.
- Answer and route incoming phone calls to the appropriate departments.
- Partner with sales representatives and service technicians to coordinate customer follow-up and resolve customer inquiries.
- Maintain recurring customer blanket orders and provide billing support.
- Verify outbound shipments for order accuracy prior to dispatch when needed.
- Conduct customer reminder calls, service follow-ups, and post-service satisfaction surveys.
- Provide administrative support through filing, organizing records, preparing reports, and other general office support duties.
- Assist with additional operational projects such as procurement support, vendor sample requests, calendar management, backorder tracking, and reporting as business needs require.
- Support company quality initiatives by maintaining accurate documentation and following established procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Six months to one year of experience in B2B customer service, order entry, inside sales support, customer support, or administrative support; equivalent education and experience will also be considered.
- Experience supporting business customers in a manufacturing, distribution, industrial, medical, or related environment is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience using ERP or order management software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional, customer-first approach.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment with changing priorities.
Position Benefits, Pay, and Schedule:
- Temp-to-hire opportunity with the potential for long-term employment.
- Pay ranges from $21.00 to $26.50 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Full-time, 100% onsite position in a collaborative and team-oriented office environment.
