Christenson Transportation is seeking an organized and customer-focused Inside Sales Coordinator to support our Inside Sales team. This role is responsible for scheduling pickup and delivery appointments, communicating with customers and carriers, monitoring service requirements, and ensuring freight moves efficiently through our network.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys building relationships with customers while solving problems. This position serves as a critical link between our customers, drivers, and operations teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Schedule pickup and delivery appointments with customers, warehouses, and distribution centers.
- Monitor appointment requests and ensure timely follow-up.
- Communicate appointment details to drivers, driver managers, and inside sales representatives.
- Update and maintain transportation management systems with accurate appointment information.
- Work with customers to resolve scheduling conflicts and service issues.
- Track appointment compliance and proactively identify potential service failures.
- Assist the Inside Sales team with customer communication and account support.
- Review load requirements and ensure all appointment information is accurate before dispatch.
- Coordinate with planning and operations teams to improve service performance.
- Maintain professional communication with customers, carriers, and internal departments.
- Support special projects and administrative tasks as assigned.
QualificationsRequired
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
Preferred
- Experience in transportation, logistics, customer service, or operations.
- Experience with transportation management software such as McLeod.
- Knowledge of trucking, freight brokerage, or supply chain operations.
