Contract Designer / Draftsperson (AutoCAD) / Interior Design
Part-Time | Remote (U.S. Only) | 5–25 Hours/Week

We’re looking for a talented Designer / Draftsperson / Interior Designer / AutoCAD Designer to join our team on a contract basis! On day one you will be designing and drafting residential and commercial construction documents, and furniture plans in AutoCAD.

This role is perfect for someone who has an education in Interior Design but prefers the technical design side. You're a self-starter who works best with little oversight and enjoys working with Interior Designers and Design-Build companies on a variety of drafting needs.

This role is for freelancers. This is not a nights and weekends role. A portfolio with AutoCAD work is required. Please include at least one bathroom and one kitchen in your portfolio.

You MUST be based in the USA.

About Us:

We are a small technical design firm that supports Interior Designers and Design Builders with technical design, space planning, design drawings, construction documents and realistic 3D renderings. We are a small team of Contract Designers.

What You’ll Do:

• Draft floor plans, elevations, and construction documents of both commercial and residential spaces in AutoCAD (AutoCAD Lt is sufficient). Our projects are typically kitchens, baths, laundry rooms, etc.
• You'll need to be able to design and space plan.
• Occasionally work in SketchUp (basic navigation and understanding is sufficient)
• Occassionally collaborate with our internal team during normal business hours via Slack, Google Meet or phone
• Support design projects in both residential and commercial spaces

Must-Haves:

• Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
• 4+ years of residential and commercial drafting experience for interiors
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (AutoCAD LT is fine)
• Professional kitchen and bath design experience
• Working knowledge of SketchUp
• Your own AutoCAD subscription
• Occassional availability during business hours to discuss projects

(This is not a nights-and-weekends role)

• Must be based in USA
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow design direction
• Clear communication skills and reliability as a remote team member
• 4+ years of experience in AutoCAD and a solid portfolio

Nice To Haves:

• 3D modeling and rendering
• Photoshop skills - can colorize elevations and floor plan

Details:

• Remote, Contract Position
• Estimated 5–15 hours/week depending on workload. This could increase quickly.
• Workload is flexible, but availability for meetings/calls during business hours is essential.
