Smoker Friendly is a leading retailer of tobacco products and currently operates 344 retail stores and cigar lounges in 13 states. Smoker Friendly is seeking candidates for the position of IT Field Service Technician. This position will be based in Forrest City, AR and is hybrid remote. This person will be expected to work in the Forrest City, AR office when not doing site visits.

The IT Field Service Technician is responsible for providing technical support, installation, maintenance, and repair services for our company and clients. This role requires extensive travel, strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software components at company and client locations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to computer systems, networks, and peripherals.
• Perform routine maintenance and updates to ensure optimal performance of IT equipment.
• Provide training and support to staff on the use of IT systems and applications.
• Document all service activities, including installation, maintenance, and repair work.
• Manage inventory of replacement parts and equipment.
• Field incoming support requests from end users via multiple sources, including telephone, email, and helpdesk software.
• Participate in an on-call remote support rotation that includes weekends.
• Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with safety and security standards.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an IT Field Service Technician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to company and client locations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar.
• Experience with remote support tools and techniques.
• Familiarity with IT service management frameworks such as ITIL.
