The Director of Facilities Maintenance is responsible for the comprehensive management, maintenance, and operational excellence of all Club facilities and infrastructure across Haig Point. This individual provides strategic direction and hands-on leadership to ensure that buildings, grounds, and community systems are safe, functional, and beautifully maintained in alignment with the Club’s commitment to excellence and member satisfaction.
This position requires a proactive leader who can manage multiple departments—including maintenance, housekeeping, home services, and security—while ensuring efficient operations and high-quality standards across all facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Oversight
- Provide direct leadership and supervision for facilities maintenance, home maintenance, housekeeping, security, and the Club’s rental program.
- Lead departmental supervisors and teams to meet operational goals and deliver superior service to members and guests.
- Conduct weekly management meetings and monthly staff meetings to maintain communication, collaboration, and alignment.
Operational Management
- Develop, implement, and enforce facility management policies and procedures that support efficient operations and long-term asset preservation.
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring all buildings, systems, and community spaces are well-maintained and safe.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure timely and quality completion of projects and service contracts.
- Oversee and manage the community’s waste management program and Dolphin trash collection contract.
- Respond promptly to emergency calls from members and resolve facility-related issues with professionalism and care.
Financial Management
- Prepare and manage departmental budgets, including maintenance, housekeeping, home services, and security.
- Approve and reconcile expenditures, including tools, materials, Wells Fargo credit cards, and vendor invoices.
- Manage payroll and scheduling for all facilities-related departments.
- Plan and oversee capital improvement projects, renovations, and upgrades in collaboration with senior management.
Strategic Planning & Compliance
- Conduct regular facility inspections to identify and address maintenance or safety concerns proactively.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Plan for and implement improvements to enhance operational efficiency and sustainability.
- Support long-term infrastructure planning and capital budgeting to meet future community needs.
Staff Development
- Recruit, train, and mentor team members to foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and safety.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide professional development opportunities to support staff growth and retention.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
- 5–7 years of progressive experience in facilities management, maintenance operations, or a related leadership role.
- Proven experience managing multiple departments and complex projects simultaneously.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and cost control.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of building systems, maintenance operations, and safety regulation.
Pay: From $90,000.00 per year
