We are looking Pathologist to serve as the Laboratory Director for a newly established, state-of-the-art clinical laboratory in Los Angeles. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role in building and overseeing laboratory operations from the ground up while ensuring the highest standards of quality, regulatory compliance, and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Laboratory Director in accordance with CLIA, CAP, and California Department of Public Health (CDPH) regulations.
• Provide medical oversight for laboratory testing and quality assurance programs.
• Establish and maintain laboratory policies, procedures, and quality management systems.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and accreditation requirements.
• Supervise laboratory personnel and provide clinical consultation as needed.
• Participate in laboratory validation, proficiency testing, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to support laboratory growth and expansion.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with Board Certification in Anatomic Pathology (AP), Clinical Pathology (CP), or AP/CP.
• Eligible to serve as a CLIA Laboratory Director for high-complexity testing.
• Active California Medical License (or eligible to obtain one).
• Previous laboratory leadership or medical director experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of CLIA, CAP, CMS, and California laboratory regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Pay: $85,828.41 - $103,363.25 per year
