LeBlanc & Associates began as a small family owned refrigeration service company operating in the Commercial and Marine industries. With an initial staff of three individuals, the company has experienced significant growth to what has become a mulit-divisional operation. Summary/Objective
Realization and completion of a design (consisting of drawings, calculations and technical specifications) for projects by carrying out engineering work in accordance with the requirements of the project c.q. the contract with regard to budget, quality and customer requirements.
Essential Functions
Project Preparation
· Accurate and performed well with the Project Manager Engineering concerted work to ensure an effective, efficient and well-structured project realization.
· Checking the drawings supplied by the customer and make any changes (revisions of, among others).
· Careful preparation of drawings, accumulation and transfer of all relevant and necessary information, documentation and data for the Draughtsman.
· Develop and produce the necessary calculations.
Project Execution
· A recognizable, reliable and expert contribution in the field of engineering to the predictability of project outcomes.
· Act on their own field as a source of information for the Project Manager, the Draughtsman, the supplier and the customer.
· Ensuring the implementation of engineering activities within the stipulated delivery time and cost framework; report on any breaches thereof to the Project Manager.
· Supervising and controlling the engineering activities on the project.
· Provide appropriate documentation and, if necessary, amend timely and adjust accordingly.
· Solving (technical engineering) problems, conflicting design requirements, materials, and proposing solutions.
· Choosing and applying engineering techniques / methods to solve problems and making recommendations regarding the design of installations.
· Providing manuals and test documents.
Evaluation
· Clear understanding of the process of engineering of the project systems in order to achieve progress and avoid delays in project progress.
· Ensuring the processing of site information in drawings, documentation and manuals.
· Maintain a safe, healthy and responsible work environment that is working in accordance with the applicable quality standards, safety, environmental requirements and legislation and regulations regarding the work to be performed and working conditions.
· Conducting daily consultation with the Project Manager on the progress of their own work.
· Issuing advice to the Project Manager for the design and engineering of systems
· Attend relevant work meetings and other meetings. (Virtual and in-person)
· Build and maintain a productive network of internal and external relations in order to contribute to a productive collaboration and have up-to-date knowledge on technical developments in their field.
· Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

Position Type/ Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Regular days of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, but schedules may change seasonally to encompass weather conditions and project schedules. This position regularly requires long hours and rotational weekends on call in order to meet business needs.
Travel
Travel is required, and may be necessary for special projects.
Required Education, Certificates and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Education and Experience
College diploma in Engineering (mechanical or industrial preferred)
