Electrical Engineer; U.S. Citizen, National, or Green Card Holder required – H10 Aerospace
Location: Sterling, VA (onsite)
Duration: Long-term (one year + engagement at our client)

- Looking for highly motivated individuals to join this team providing advanced electronics and subsystems on cutting edge satellite programs. Projects push the performance envelope for both power and digital applications in space.
- Supports a wide range of electrical design projects contributing to all aspects of the full product lifecycle: from requirements development, through preliminary design, critical design, prototype, test, and production and is encouraged to work as independently as possible on assignments, with ample guidance from a more senior-level staff member on more complex design, analysis, or testing programs.
- Encouraged to work on many aspects of electrical engineering, from firmware design to analog power electronics.
Experience in each/all of the following areas (not all required - the more the better):
- Electrical CAD design in OrCAD and Allegro, or Altium
- Experience with firmware design in VHDL and/or Verilog
- Strong PCB / board-level design + debugging (digital, high-speed circuit design, including schematic and PCB layout + development and debug of analog or digital electronics)
- Full lifecycle EE experience; requirements -> design -> analysis -> prototype -> manufacturing handoff
- Electrical analysis, such as worst case, stress and Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
- Designing test equipment, including test script development using Matlab, Simulink, C, or Python
- Benchtop testing and debugging
- Electrical test plan/procedure generation
- Collaboration with multi-disciplinary engineering team
- Total related experience 3-8 years in the aerospace and/or defense industry (documentation heavy; drawings, build procedures, datasheets, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building and designing of test equipment, including test script development using Matlab, Simulink, C, or Python
- Experience with design for a radiation environment
- Experience in space or related field
- Good communication skills, including written and presentation skills
Duties and Responsibilities
- Designs analog and/or digital circuits in Orcad and/or Allegro, including schematic capture
- Performs analysis of circuit designs, to include worst case analysis, stress analysis, and reliability analysis
- Performs debug and checkout of first unit designs
- Performs troubleshooting of production hardware as required
- Authors and releases drawings, bills of materials, users guides, requirements documents for hardware
- Performs simulation of circuit designs as required
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary & Benefits
The salary range described in this posting is an estimate by the Company, and may change based on several factors, including by not limited to a change in the duties covered by the job posting, or the credentials, experience or geographic jurisdiction of the successful candidate. Salary Range: Hiring at the early-career and mid levels with a range from $110,000- $160,000 annually

Physical Demands
- Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
- Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
- Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
