Momofuku Goods
Momofuku Goods aims to redefine the American pantry by giving home cooks restaurant-grade essentials that make cooking more fun, enjoyable, and delicious.
Founded in 2020 by David Chang and the Momofuku team, Momofuku Goods carries forward the same principles that shaped our restaurants—challenging conventions and making the unfamiliar familiar. We believe in the power of food to bring people together and create more confidence, joy, and connection in the kitchen.
This role is part of a redesigned commercial planning structure built for Momofuku Goods' next stage of growth. As the business scales, we are investing in a more disciplined, integrated planning model that connects commercial inputs, financial expectations, supply realities, and improved data infrastructure.
We are separating enterprise systems and data governance from day-to-day commercial planning and analysis. The Sales Planner will focus on forecast development and management, commercial planning analytics, management reporting and analysis, and cross-functional coordination across Sales, Finance, and Operations.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Insights, this person will play a critical role in strengthening Momofuku's planning capability and giving the business a clearer, more reliable demand signal at every planning horizon. This is an individual contributor role for someone who works directly with the data, makes forecast assumptions and planning recommendations, and is insights focused, detail-oriented, commercially curious, and comfortable operating in a fast-scaling CPG environment where the process is still being built.
Salary Description: $80,000 - $95,000 annually + bonus + company stock options

-
Track and analyze forecast accuracy and forecast-change drivers over time, diagnose root causes and recommend practical improvements.
-
Strengthen Momofuku's S&OP capability by bringing rigor, consistency, and follow-through to recurring planning cadences.
COMMERCIAL INSIGHTS

Build, and manage commercial planning dashboards and reporting, selecting appropriate data sources and analytical methods, in partnership with the Director of Business Operations and Technology and the Senior Director of Insights.
-
Analyze retailer POS, distributor portals and syndicated data, including SPINS, IRI, Nielsen, or similar data sources, to identify early signals, velocity gaps, distribution opportunities, and demand risks.

Support executive-level reporting and scenario modeling in partnership with Finance, including budget variance analysis and forward-looking risk/opportunity framing.

Develop data-driven analyses and recommendations for quarterly business reviews, customer business planning, board materials, and internal commercial planning meetings.
CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COORDINATION

Collaborate with Operations and Supply Chain to communicate meaningful changes, flag inventory or service risks, and support supply planning decisions.
-
Support trade planning by tracking promotional commitments, analyzing post-event performance, and assessing the impact of major account activity on the demand plan.
-
Create visibility and accountability across functions so commercial plans are documented, understood, and connected to the broader operating plan.
SYSTEMS & PROCESS

Partner with the Director of Business Operations and Technology on data quality issues, reporting standards, systems integration needs, and process improvements.
-
Define and implement practical planning templates, SOPs, and planning routines that can scale with the business.

Recommend and implement improvements to planning processes and infrastructure; enterprise systems architecture, master data governance, BI strategy, and technology roadmap decisions remain with the Director of Business Operations and Technology.
Required Qualifications:
-
3 to 5 years of progressive experience in forecast planning, sales planning, commercial analytics, supply chain finance, or a closely related analytical planning role, within CPG or food and beverage.
-
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Statistics, or a related field; or equivalent experience that demonstrates the same analytical foundation.
-
Hands-on forecasting experience: you have built and managed a forecast, prepared forecast reviews, and understand what it means when bias or forecast accuracy moves in the wrong direction.
-
Strong Excel/sheets skills, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, large data sets, imperfect source data, and model-building from scratch.
-
Experience working with retailer POS, syndicated data, or commercial performance data such as SPINS, Circana, Nielsen, customer portals, UNFI and KeHe distributor reporting.
