Duties

• Conduct engaging classroom instruction on CDL regulations, safety protocols, and driving techniques, including topics like air brake systems and tanker operations
• Lead hands-on behind-the-wheel training sessions for students operating tractor-trailers and truck driving vehicles
• Assess student progress through practical evaluations, providing constructive feedback to enhance their skills
• Prepare training materials, lesson plans, and assessments aligned with industry standards and state requirements
• Maintain a safe learning environment by enforcing safety procedures and monitoring student compliance during training sessions
• Stay current with industry regulations, CDL licensing requirements, and best practices in adult education and teaching methodologies
• Support students through mentorship, encouraging professional growth and confidence in their driving abilities

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of valid CDL license
• Proven experience in commercial driving, including truck driving and tractor-trailer operation
• Strong knowledge of CDL regulations, safety standards, and vehicle maintenance procedures
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to instruct diverse learners effectively
• Ability to demonstrate safe driving techniques while maintaining a lively, motivational teaching style

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12.0 – 28.0 per week
