Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Front End Estimator specializing in Auto Body Repair. In this vital role, you will evaluate vehicle damages, prepare accurate repair estimates using advanced computer-aided estimating tools, and communicate effectively with customers and insurance adjusters. Your expertise will help ensure smooth workflow and outstanding service for our valued clients.

Duties

• Ascertain automotive body damage by conducting inspections and examinations.
• Develop estimates by costing parts, supplies, and labor; calculating customer's payment, including deductibles.
• Obtain insurance estimates by contacting insurance companies; reviewing damage estimates with insurance adjusters; review repair and replacement requirements.
• Prepare work orders (RO) by describing repair and replacement services required; obtaining approval signatures; enter RO into work management system.
• Work in conjunction with the Back End Estimator, Parts Personnel and CSR to complete repairs.
• Maintain customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle; obtain and provide contact telephone numbers; answer questions and concerns; arrange temporary transportation; assist the CSR with updating customers regarding vehicle status throughout the repair process.
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, such as I-CAR training courses; reading manufacturers' publications.
• Final walk through every evening to confirm the shop is shut down, all doors are locked, and all vehicles are securely covered and stored in the gated parking lot or inside the shop.

Requirements

• Must have at least 1-2 years experience as an Estimator in the collision repair industry.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license.
• This position is Mon-Fri from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with some overtime required.

Pay will be determined based upon employee's level of experience and amount of training required, with room for advancement based upon increase in skill level and performance.
