Kerotest Manufacturing Corp. is seeking a motivated and strategic Business Development Specialist to help grow Kerotest’s presence in the data center and critical infrastructure market.
This position will be responsible for identifying, developing, and pursuing business opportunities with data centers, engineering firms, contractors, OEMs, distributors, and other key decision-makers involved in data center construction, maintenance, and operations. The ideal candidate will have strong sales and business development skills, the ability to build relationships in a technical market, and the initiative to help Kerotest establish and grow its presence in this industry.
This is a market-development role focused on opening doors, identifying opportunities, building relationships, and supporting the sale of Kerotest valve products into data center applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a business development plan focused on the data center and critical infrastructure market.
- Identify potential customers, projects, contractors, engineers, distributors, and end users within the data center industry.
- Build and maintain relationships with key contacts involved in data center design, construction, maintenance, and operations.
- Promote Kerotest valve products and capabilities to prospective customers and industry partners.
- Research market trends, project activity, customer needs, and competitive positioning within the data center market.
- Work with internal sales, engineering, and management teams to evaluate opportunities and support customer requirements.
- Assist in developing sales strategies, presentations, product positioning, and market-specific materials.
- Track leads, opportunities, customer contacts, and market activity.
- Represent Kerotest professionally in customer meetings, industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
- Provide feedback to management regarding market needs, product fit, pricing considerations, and growth opportunities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in sales, business development, account management, or market development preferred.
- Experience selling into data centers or related markets strongly preferred.
- Technical aptitude and ability to understand industrial products and customer applications.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to develop new business and pursue opportunities independently.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, including sales, engineering, operations, and management.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage leads, follow-up, and long-term sales opportunities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM or sales tracking systems preferred.
- Ability to travel as needed for customer meetings, site visits, trade shows, and industry events.
Preferred Experience
- Knowledge of data center construction, cooling systems, mechanical rooms, piping systems, or facility operations.
- Existing relationships within the data center, engineering, contractor, distributor, or critical infrastructure market.
- Experience developing a new market or building a customer base from the ground up.
Work Environment
This position may involve a combination of office work, customer visits, trade shows, and travel. The role requires frequent communication with customers and internal departments and may require occasional visits to industrial, construction, or facility environments.
Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
