Position Overview:

A private family who recently relocated to the Bellevue, WA area is seeking an experienced professional to provide regular housekeeping services. This is a full time, 40 hours a week W2 position, mostly performed during the week, Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm. The home is family-centered, full-time residence, and values privacy, predictability, and a peaceful atmosphere. Spanish speaking ability is required.

The primary focus of the housekeeping responsibilities is to carry out regular high-quality routine cleaning of an approximately 8,000 square foot home, plus dishes, laundry for the family of four and general tidying so that the house is in excellent condition at the end of each day. The housekeeper will also lead the effort for deep cleaning of certain areas on a predictable schedule. This role may be asked from time to time to provide service in evenings or weekends when special occasions occur.

The candidate should expect to be guided and supported by the Estate Manager, the principals and others working in the household. This will be a team effort, so close coordination and cooperation for seamless care of the home is important. Flexibility and ability to adapt to special requests is important. This is a bi-lingual home, Spanish speakers, so second language ability is highly desirable.

Position Requirements:

• Previous experience working in private service or high-level hospitality.
• Previous experience as a professional housekeeper/cleaner.
• Physically able to perform cleaning tasks in a large home.
• Comfortable with pets – family has two small dogs.
• Washington driver's license with clean driving record.
• Reliable personal transportation to get to and from work.
• Ability to pass an extensive background check.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Spanish speaking ability.

Preferred Requirements:

• Familiarity with laundry processes, including washing, drying, folding, ironing and closet organization.
• First-Aid / CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
• Long-term commitment.

Other Considerations:

• This is a live-out, team-based role.
• The schedule is structured but designed to provide seamless service for the home and family, so some level of flexibility is necessary.
• The household includes children, pets, and existing staff; cooperation, communication, and awareness are essential.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 40 pounds.
• Frequent bending, stooping, and stretching.
• Ability to negotiate a multi-story house with stairs many times a day.
• Ability to use a ladder up to 6 ft.

Compensation:

This is an hourly, non-exempt position with pay determined based on skills and experience. Starting pay will be based on experience. An additional stipend for self-purchase of medical insurance will be included monthly.
