The purpose of this position is to provide quality service while satisfying the needs of our patients through the frame selection, sale, and dispensing of eyeglasses under the direction of our doctors. Many of our patients have been dedicated to our office for 30 years or more: Quality and genuine concern for patient satisfaction is our goal.

Our office is open daily, with one evening, and every Saturday (partial day).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Personally assist customers by giving prompt, courteous and professional service
- Assist patients in frame and lens selection
- Accurately measure and order customer spectacles.
- Accurately complete required paperwork
- Sell optical Eyewear and contact lenses in accordance with professional standards and in compliance with Federal, state and local regulations.
- Verify accuracy of completed orders.
- Handle patient questions and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Share office maintenance and cleaning duties with co-workers by maintaining well organized work areas;
- Accurate record keeping
- Courteous greeting patients while in the office, answering phones.
- Assist co-workers as needed.
- Comply with privacy policy, procedures, and federal, state and local regulatory requirements.
- Build productive trusting relationships with patients.
- Uphold company standards to professional behavior in all aspects of patient interactions.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

- A sense of style: identify and support patient preferences with respect to eyeglass frame styles, lens options, and other add-ons.

Education and/or Experience Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Should have a minimum of one year retail sales
- Experience in retail sales is a plus. Dealing with fashion options, brand preferences and coloring
- Previous optical sales experience welcomed.
Language Skills Needed:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills (high level of English is a necessity).
Mathematical Skills Required:
- Basic math skills for calculating (addition, subtraction and %) to support the insurance filing requirements
Computer Skills:
- Basic computer skills a plus (adding/editing patient information, entering insurance details, writing and entering job orders)

Other Qualifications:
- Optical sales VERY helpful, however we will consider training the right person with the right work history.
Physical Demands on the Role:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
- Includes lifting up to 25 lbs
