Job Summary: We are seeking several Manufacturing Engineering Technicians to join our team and serve as the unwavering authority on the manufacturing floor. This role demands 100% focus on ensuring that our Manufacturing team consistently performs their work correctly and in compliance with all quality and operational standards. With a "see something, say something" approach, the Manufacturing Engineering Technician will have the absolute authority to halt production when necessary to address and rectify issues. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Manufacturing Operations, Quality, and other Manufacturing Engineering team members to maintain process integrity and operational excellence.

Sometimes that maybe a Senior level Engineer with deep knowledge and experience, and other times it may be someone with less experience but that spark that will take them to the next level. Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary on-the-floor representative of Manufacturing Engineering, ensuring all operations meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.
- Observe, evaluate, and verify manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to protocols and best practices.
- Identify, communicate, and address any deviations or inefficiencies in real-time, utilizing a "see something, say something" methodology.
- Exercise absolute authority to stop production lines to correct issues, ensuring product and process integrity.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Operations, Quality, and Engineering teams to resolve issues and implement process improvements.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to operators and team members to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Utilize a deep understanding of manufacturing process control and variation to identify root causes of issues and drive data-driven solutions.
- Maintain thorough documentation of observations, actions, and resolutions to support continuous improvement and compliance efforts.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in medical device manufacturing.
- Fluency in Spanish is required to effectively communicate with a diverse workforce.
- Strong appreciation and understanding of manufacturing process control and variation.
- Proven ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems, processes, and technologies.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a hands-on approach on the shop floor.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with relevant medical device manufacturing standards and regulations.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency in manufacturing execution systems (e.g., Odoo).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster collaboration across departments.

Requirements:
- Work setting: In-person, on site manufacturing facility in West Valley City, UT 5 days normal hours
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field is preferred
- Physical: Light work, occasional medium work, lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Visual: Close vision, color vision, depth perception ability to adjust focus
- Motion & Sensory: standing, walking, pushing, feeling, stooping, reaching, lifting, grasping, repetitive motion
- Working Conditions: Office, clean-room, and other controlled environments

Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
