Work Environment

Lifeguards work seasonal hours. Night and weekend work may be required. 100% of this work is outdoors, and requires work done in all types of weather. The stress level is moderate.

SEASONAL LIFEGUARD

Under general supervision, ensures the safety of patrons of an aquatic facility by preventing and responding to emergencies.

Supervision Received

Supervision is provided by the Aquatics Director of Oxford Park Commission and the Lifeguard Manager.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Less than high school with 6 months to 1 year experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. CPR Certified; Current certification as Lifeguard by a recognized source of training.
