Senior Sales Analyst | Greater Tampa Bay, FL | Competitive Compensation + Full Benefits
Join a PE-backed manufacturer and supplier in active growth mode as a Sales Analyst supporting the Commercial organization — a role built for someone who wants to be a true strategic finance partner to Sales and Marketing rather than a back-office number cruncher. The company is in the middle of a meaningful transformation, modernizing its accounting and finance infrastructure following a recent acquisition, which means you will be joining at a moment when your analytical work and process improvements will have real, visible impact. You will deliver data-driven insights that directly influence go-to-market decisions, optimize commercial spend, and drive profitable growth, working closely with Sales leadership, Marketing, and senior Finance stakeholders to translate business activity into financial clarity. This is a highly cross-functional role that blends financial modeling, data visualization, and storytelling — you will need to be just as comfortable building a complex model as you are presenting it persuasively to a non-finance audience. The organization operates across multiple sites with a sizable finance team, giving you exposure to a sophisticated reporting environment and genuine opportunities to grow. If you bring 5+ years of progressive financial analysis experience, strong Excel and dashboard skills, and a passion for connecting financial data to commercial strategy, this is an excellent next step in your career.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary finance partner to Sales and Marketing teams, supporting budgeting, forecasting, and performance management across commercial functions.
- Partner with Sales leadership on territory planning, incentive compensation modeling, and deal economics reviews.
- Support departmental SG&A planning and budget-to-actual analysis for the Sales and Marketing organizations.
- Develop and maintain financial models and dashboards to track sales performance, pipeline conversion, quota attainment, and revenue trends.
- Build and maintain customer and channel profitability models, including margin analysis by segment, territory, and account.
- Analyze marketing spend and campaign ROI, providing recommendations to optimize investment allocation across channels and programs.
- Support month-end and quarter-end close activities, including revenue variance analysis and commercial management reporting.
- Maintain and improve financial data integrity within the company's ERP system, ensuring consistent and reliable commercial reporting.
- Support the administration of volume and other customer rebates on a quarterly and annual basis.
- Assist with ad hoc financial projects and strategic initiatives as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive financial analysis experience, ideally with exposure to commercial or revenue-facing finance roles.
- Proficiency with a large-scale ERP system for financial data management and reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in Tableau or a comparable data visualization platform for building dashboards.
- Strong Excel skills including financial modeling, pivot tables, and complex formulas.
- Demonstrated history of executing transformational FP&A projects.
- Proven ability to translate large data sets into clear, concise insights for commercial audiences.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with experience presenting financial information to Sales and Marketing leaders.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Experience with Python, SQL, or similar tools for data analysis, automation, or reporting.
- Practical experience applying AI tools within a finance function.
- Familiarity with data lake architectures and large-scale data processing platforms.
- MBA or CPA, or progress toward either.
- Experience in a manufacturing or consumer products environment.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms and an understanding of sales pipeline dynamics.
Why you'll love working here
- A true strategic seat — you will partner directly with Sales and Marketing leadership, influencing go-to-market decisions rather than simply reporting on them after the fact.
- A company actively transforming its finance function post-acquisition, giving you the opportunity to modernize processes and make a visible mark early on.
- Exposure to a sophisticated, multi-site finance organization with real depth and structure — a strong platform for accelerating your career.
- A genuinely cross-functional role that blends modeling, analytics, and storytelling — ideal for someone who wants variety and visibility in their work.
- A PE-backed environment with growth, ambition, and a culture of innovation and operational excellence.
- Competitive compensation commensurate with experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
