We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Controller to oversee the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, cash management, and internal controls.

This is a leadership position for someone who enjoys building processes, improving efficiency, and working directly with ownership.

Seeking an experienced Controller to oversee all aspects of the company's accounting and financial operations. This individual will play a critical leadership role by ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, managing cash flow, and providing strategic financial insight to support executive decision-making.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, hands-on accounting professional with strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to improve financial processes as the company continues to grow. This position works directly with ownership and department leaders to ensure the financial health and operational efficiency of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage all day-to-day accounting operations
• Oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
• Perform bank reconciliations and cash management
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Maintain the general ledger and journal entries
• Manage payroll and payroll reconciliations
• Monitor company cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts
• Coordinate with outside CPA firm for year-end tax preparation
• Prepare budgets and financial forecasts
• Develop and maintain internal accounting controls
• Oversee commission calculations and reporting
• Manage collections trust account reconciliations where applicable
• Review vendor payments and expense approvals
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable financial regulations
• Assist ownership with financial analysis and strategic planning
• Identify opportunities to automate accounting processes and improve reporting

Skills

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

5+ years of accounting experience

3+ years in a Controller, Assistant Controller, or Accounting Manager role

Strong knowledge of GAAP

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Experience preparing financial statements

Excellent analytical and organizational skills

Ability to work independently and maintain strict confidentiality
CPA or CPA candidate

Experience with QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or similar ERP/accounting software

Experience in commercial finance, legal services, collections, banking, lending, merchant cash advance, or financial services

Experience implementing accounting systems and automation

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
