Primary Objective

To perform design, development, and support work on new and existing MTS products in such a way to enhance or maintain their value, profitability, and/or importance to the company.

Major Areas of Accountability

• Design and develop electrical control systems, including panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Specify, select, and integrate electrical components including drives, sensors, relays, and instrumentation.
• Lead or support machine and system commissioning, startup, and validation activities.
• Develop manufacturing processes according to global engineering codes and standards.
• Evaluating systems’ safety, reliability, and performance.
• Develop and maintain the bill of materials and drawings for electrical products.
• PLC and HMI programming. Wago and Siemens preferred.
• Understanding of functional safety and performance levels.
• Provide technical support for internal and external customers.
• Develop, implement, and maintain overall test activities.
• Participates in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop concepts and designs that meet or exceed the system's cost and performance goals. Also, develop concepts and designs for support of pre-sale applications as applicable. Plans and estimates cross functional development efforts.
• Provide technical reports, presentations, knowledge sharing. Reviews progress & evaluate results related to projects.
• Supports digital communication and third-party interfaces. Interfaces with vendors of electronic components, key development tools, and technologies.
• Lead documentation and processes that conform with ISO quality objectives.

General Qualifications

• BS degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Expected travel averaging less than 10%, domestic and international.

Compensation Information:

$75,000 - $110,000 Annual Salary, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
