Wilo Americas, a leading provider of pumps and water solutions, is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager, Digital Transformation & AI Solutions to drive the development and commercialization of AI-powered solutions for the water market.
This role focuses on introducing telemetry, instrumentation, and controls hardware to generate critical data, while creating and evolving innovative AI-based solutions (including water quality and telemetry applications) into scalable SaaS-type business models. The position will bring new hardware and software solutions to the Wilo Americas market to enable data-driven AI capabilities across pumps, motors, variable speed drives, and related systems.
This position reports directly to the Wilo Americas CTO and requires collaboration with other Wilo regions globally, as needed.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Wilo Americas Head of AI, Wilo Group globally, regional partners, and external technology providers to identify opportunities, introduce solutions, and drive commercial success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Identify, evaluate, and introduce telemetry, instrumentation, and controls hardware to Wilo Americas to generate high-quality data that enables AI-based solutions.
· Lead the introduction of Wilo Group telemetry solutions (e.g., Wilo Monitor, Connect Sensor) and additional instrumentation compatible with pumps, motors, variable speed drives (VSDs), and PLCs.
· Develop and execute AI solutions strategy for the water market, with emphasis on telemetry, water quality monitoring, and smart instrumentation.
· Collaborate with other Wilo regions worldwide to align strategies, share best practices, and leverage global innovations for the Americas market.
· Partner with external technology providers to expand the portfolio of telemetry, instrumentation, and controls solutions.
· Collaborate with the Wilo Americas Head of AI on software-based AI solutions and work cross-functionally with Controls departments (Wilo, Plad, Quantumflo) and LATAM development teams.
· Evolve hardware and data-generating solutions into full AI-enabled SaaS offerings, including go-to-market strategies, sales tools, training materials, and successful handover to regional sales teams.
· Conduct market analysis, competitive intelligence, and opportunity assessments to prioritize high-potential AI and data-driven innovations.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, global Wilo teams, key customers, and technology partners
