Lead High-Impact Assurance Engagements in a Growing Cybersecurity Firm

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Senior Manager - IT Audit to lead complex SOC 2 assurance engagements, mentor team members, and help shape the future of our assurance practice.
This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced audit professional who enjoys working directly with clients, leading engagement teams, and delivering exceptional results. What You'll Do
Lead Client Engagements
- Own SOC 2 and assurance engagements from planning through report issuance
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the engagement lifecycle
- Provide guidance and recommendations on controls, risk management, and compliance requirements
- Ensure engagements are delivered on time and meet the highest quality standards
Manage and Develop Teams
- Lead, coach, and mentor audit professionals
- Review workpapers, testing results, and engagement deliverables
- Establish expectations and support team development
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Drive Operational Excellence
- Identify opportunities to improve assurance methodologies and delivery processes
- Support the growth and scalability of the assurance practice
- Collaborate with cybersecurity and compliance teams on client engagements
- Assist with adjacent frameworks such as HITRUST and HIPAA as client needs evolve
What We're Looking For
- Active CPA license is required. Please only apply if you have a valid US CPA license.
- Strong, hands-on SOC 2 experience, ideally developed within a public accounting environment.
- Proven ability to independently manage multiple client engagements
- Strong client-facing communication and relationship management skills
- Experience leading, mentoring, and developing team members
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Information Systems, Business, or a related field
- Deep understanding of the Trust Services Criteria and how to apply them in real-world client environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with HITRUST, HIPAA, or healthcare compliance environments
- Familiarity with GRC platforms, audit management tools, and modern assurance workflows
- Experience supporting cybersecurity, compliance, or risk advisory engagements
- Background working in fast-paced consulting or professional services environments
