Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Manager to lead our accounts payable operations with energy and precision. Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice receipt, validation, coding, approval workflows, and payment execution.
• Supervise and mentor the accounts payable team to optimize workflow efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) requirements, and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Utilize financial software such as Workday, Paychex, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar systems to process transactions and generate reports.
• Perform account reconciliations, resolve discrepancies promptly, and maintain detailed audit trails for all transactions.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal departments to address payment inquiries and resolve issues swiftly.
• Oversee month-end closing activities related to accounts payable and assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Skills

• Extensive experience with accounting systems including Workday, ADP, Kronos, UltiPro, Ceridian, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles such as GAAP and double-entry bookkeeping.
• Proficiency in Excel data analysis using formulas like VLOOKUP functions, pivot tables, and advanced Excel formulas for reporting purposes.
• Familiarity with payroll management systems like Paychex or ADP is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to manage accounts receivable processes alongside accounts payable functions.
• Excellent analysis skills for account reconciliation and journal entries; adept at identifying discrepancies quickly.
• Knowledge of governmental accounting standards and non-profit accounting practices is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of HRIS systems for benefits administration integration.
• Ability to handle data entry accurately with 10-key typing skills; experience with general ledger reconciliation is preferred.
