Position Title: Project Manager, IV&V

Duration: direct hire preferred (open to contract)

Schedule: Onsite 5-days weekly to start, potential future flexibility

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead an Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) engagement supporting a large-scale enterprise ERP modernization initiative. This leadership role is responsible for managing all aspects of the IV&V effort, providing independent oversight of project execution, identifying risks, evaluating project health, and delivering objective assessments to executive leadership and project stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience leading IV&V or quality assurance engagements for large public sector or enterprise technology implementations and possesses exceptional communication, governance, and stakeholder management skills.

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or a related field.

· Minimum 12 years of information technology experience.

· Minimum 7 years leading Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V), Quality Assurance, Project Oversight, or comparable governance engagements.

· Experience supporting large-scale ERP implementation programs.

· Strong understanding of project governance, risk management, quality assurance, and executive reporting.

· Experience presenting findings to executive leadership.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

· Public sector ERP implementation experience.

· Oracle Cloud ERP implementation experience.

· PMP certification preferred.

· Experience supporting enterprise digital transformation initiatives.

· Experience with organizational readiness and executive governance processes.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead all aspects of the IV&V engagement from project initiation through implementation.

· Manage project scope, schedule, staffing, deliverables, and contract performance.

· Develop and maintain IV&V work plans, methodologies, and reporting processes.

· Conduct independent assessments of project governance, planning, execution, risk management, testing, organizational readiness, and implementation activities.

· Identify project risks, issues, and opportunities for improvement and provide actionable recommendations.

· Prepare executive-level reports, dashboards, presentations, and status briefings.

· Present findings and recommendations to executive leadership and governance committees.

· Review project documentation including project plans, schedules, requirements, testing artifacts, and implementation deliverables.

· Monitor project health through performance metrics, milestone reviews, and risk assessments.

· Collaborate effectively with project leadership while maintaining IV&V independence and objectivity.

· Support readiness reviews and Go/No-Go decision processes.

· Ensure all IV&V activities comply with established project governance standards and contractual requirements.
