Accounting Manager (U.S.) – Short-Term Rental & Property AccountingPosition Summary
Ximplifi, a KeepingCount company, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead a portfolio of clients within the short-term rental and real estate industries. This individual will oversee accounting operations, manage a team of accounting professionals, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients while ensuring accurate financial reporting and exceptional service.
The ideal candidate has strong leadership experience, extensive knowledge of property accounting, and hands-on experience with Track. Experience working with vacation rental clients, trust accounting, owner statements, and property management software is highly preferred.
Essential Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of short-term rental, property management, and real estate clients.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Staff and Senior Accountants.
- Review monthly financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules for accuracy and completeness.
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes while ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients and maintain strong client relationships.
- Conduct recurring client meetings to review financial performance and provide accounting guidance.
- Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting packages.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting standards.
- Review trust account reconciliations and ensure compliance with trust accounting requirements.
- Oversee owner statement preparation and property management reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and increase operational efficiencies.
- Assist with onboarding new clients and implementing accounting workflows.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure exceptional client service.
- Support special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting leadership or management experience.
- Required experience using Track.
- Experience managing month-end close processes.
- Experience reviewing financial statements and reconciliations.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in short-term rental, vacation rental, hospitality, or property management accounting.
- Experience with trust accounting.
- Experience preparing and reviewing owner statements.
- Experience with QuickBooks Online or Sage Intacct
- Experience with property management software such as Guesty, Streamline, Hostaway, or similar platforms.
- Experience with Bill.com, Ramp, Dext, Expensify, or similar cloud-based accounting tools.
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
- Experience managing remote teams.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
