Marriott-Branded Select-Service Hotel located in Waterford, CT

Compensation: $40,000.00–$45,000.00 per year

Support and manage hotel departments and oversee daily hotel operations as directed.

Your Focus

• Interview, select, train, schedule, coach, and support associates to ensure performance meets brand and hotel standards and reflects our values.
• Oversee all hotel departments to ensure a high level of service and hospitality is consistently delivered to guests.
• Assist the General Manager with preparing forecasts and reports, and with developing, implementing, and monitoring the hotel budget to maximize revenue, control expenses, and ensure proper staffing and supplies.
• Monitor guest satisfaction scores and brand standards, and actively work to improve departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
• Resolve guest concerns and proactively identify potential issues by reviewing operations, business flow, and associate performance.
• Oversee property accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable, house bank audits, petty cash, and tax-related activities.
• Coordinate with the corporate accounting department to support and oversee payroll functions.
• Ensure internal audit standards and procedures are followed.
• Partner with the sales team to develop and implement strategies to improve occupancy and increase revenue.
• Monitor and maintain front office systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Serve as a member of the hotel’s safety committee.
• Develop clear, measurable, achievable, realistic, and timely action plans to address guest service opportunities.
• Practice safe work habits, use required safety equipment, and comply with MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Your Background and Skills

• Intermediate knowledge of overall hotel operations.
• Knowledge of PMS systems preferred.
• Experience with Marriott systems is a plus.

Work Environment and Context

• Schedule may vary and may include holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts.
• Position requires standing for extended periods and may involve walking, pushing, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting up to 25 pounds.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
