Position: Distribution Center ManagerLocation: Tilton, NH
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Distribution Center Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of orders, optimizing warehouse workflows, and maintaining essential bookkeeping and reporting records. Key Responsibilities:Distribution Center Management:
- Lead day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient workflows and timely order fulfillment.
- Supervise one warehouse employee handling packing, shipping, and inventory tasks.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels by purchasing inventory and coordinating incoming products.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers to support smooth product sourcing, timely restocking, and effective communication around inventory needs.
Customer Service:
- Address customer inquiries regarding order status, product information, and shipping.
- Resolve order discrepancies promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
Bookkeeping:
- Perform general ledger tasks, including recording transactions, reconciling bank statements, and maintaining balance sheets.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports to inform decision-making.
- Support budgeting and forecasting to align with financial goals.
- Process payroll accurately and on schedule, ensuring compliance with applicable tax and labor requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate financial data recording.
Reporting Responsibilities:
- Prepare and distribute quarterly vendor reports summarizing order volume, royalty earnings
- Compile monthly manufacturer reports tracking product usage, sell-through, and replenishment needs including shipping.
- Maintain accurate records of inbound and outbound inventory to support reporting accuracy.
- Track and report on order fulfillment metrics, including turnaround times and discrepancy rates.
- Provide regular updates to leadership on inventory levels, vendor performance, and operational trends.
- Flag inventory shortages, overstock, or supply chain issues proactively through reporting.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in distribution center management and bookkeeping.
- Experience preparing recurring operational and vendor reports.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Google Suite, and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Shopify and ShipStation is appreciated but not required.
