Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team in San Jose. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Mechanical Engineering graduate who wants hands-on exposure to engineering design, project execution, and construction operations within a collaborative design-build environment.

Working alongside experienced engineers, project managers, estimators, and field teams, you will support the design and implementation of commercial and industrial mechanical systems while developing a strong foundation in both engineering and construction practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design and layout of mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and process piping systems.
• Support project engineers and project managers throughout the design and construction lifecycle.
• Develop and revise engineering drawings, plans, and technical documentation using AutoCAD, Revit, and related software.
• Review project specifications, submittals, shop drawings, and construction documents.
• Perform engineering calculations and assist with equipment selection and system sizing.
• Participate in site visits, field walks, and project meetings to gain practical construction experience.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to support successful project delivery.
• Help maintain project schedules, documentation, and engineering records.
• Learn and apply industry codes, standards, and best practices related to mechanical and piping systems.

QualificationsRequired

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals, including thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and mechanical system design.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
• Ability to work on-site in San Jose, California.

Preferred

• Internship, co-op, research, or project experience related to HVAC, MEP, plumbing, mechanical construction, or process piping.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, or similar design software.
• Exposure to commercial construction, project engineering, or design-build environments.
• Familiarity with industrial or process piping systems.
• EIT certification or plans to pursue professional licensure.

Compensation

• $80,000 – $100,000 for recent graduates with limited industry experience.
• $90,000 – $110,000 for candidates with strong internship experience, AutoCAD/Revit/BIM proficiency, construction or project engineering exposure, or experience supporting HVAC, MEP, or industrial piping projects.
