Position: Merchandiser

Reports To: District Sales Manager

Pay Range: $21.00-$22.00 / hour

Purpose:

The Merchandiser is responsible for executing in-store merchandising standards across assigned retail accounts. This role focuses on product presentation, shelf organization, cleanliness, pricing accuracy, and compliance with customer and company standards. The Merchandiser supports sales and delivery teams through consistent execution and professional in-store presence, helping ensure products are properly displayed and available to customers.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or GED required.

Previous merchandising, retail, or warehouse experience preferred.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a field-based role.

Licensing and Requirements:

Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Must maintain a valid driver’s license.

This position requires the use of a personal vehicle for travel between accounts.

Employees using a personal vehicle for work must maintain current auto insurance meeting company minimum coverage requirements.

Employees are responsible for ensuring their vehicle remains in safe operating condition.

Employees must comply with all company safety, vehicle use, and accident reporting procedures.

Physical Requirements and Workplace Conditions:

This position is field-based and involves frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and handling product during store visits. The role requires lifting, stocking, and moving product weighing up to 50 pounds. Mechanical assistance (such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, carts, or team assistance) is expected and required for heavier items whenever available. Work is performed primarily in retail environments and may include limited warehouse exposure.

Essential Functions and Skills:

Core Merchandising Execution

• Stock, rotate, and face product according to company and customer standards
• Build and maintain displays, shelf sets, and promotional placements
• Ensure pricing accuracy, signage placement, and planogram compliance
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of shelves, coolers, and display areas

Store Compliance and Standards

• Follow store-specific procedures for check-in, check-out, and merchandising windows
• Comply with customer safety, cleanliness, and merchandising requirements
• Identify and report out-of-code, damaged, or expired product

Operational Support

• Coordinate with delivery and sales teams to address product or execution issues
• Assist with basic backroom organization and product movement as required
• Follow established procedures for handling breakage or damaged product

Travel, Scheduling, and Territory Coverage

• Travel between assigned retail accounts to complete merchandising responsibilities
• Manage daily schedules and route efficiency to meet service expectations
• Adjust priorities as needed based on operational direction

Communication and Professional Standards

• Interact professionally with store personnel and company representatives
• Communicate issues, concerns, or opportunities to supervisors promptly
• Represent the company positively through appearance, conduct, and reliability

Other Responsibilities:

• Participate in training and safety programs as required.
• Use approved mobile devices or applications for reporting and communication.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support business needs.
