Location: Remote, EU (working window ~12:00–20:00 CET, aligned with the team)
Employment Type: Associate / Contract
Start Date: August 1, 2026
Salary: Competitive — disclosed at screen stage
We're building out the team behind a VC-backed, pre-launch US SaaS product in the HR/benefits space — automating the collection of employee benefit premiums during leave events, across admin, employer, and employee portals, with Stripe payments, Twilio and SendGrid notifications, all on Azure.
As a Middle .NET Developer, you'll work under a Technical Lead who owns the architecture, taking assigned features and integrations from spec to working, reviewed code. Part of the codebase is greenfield — new components, theming, integrations. Part of it is inherited prototype code with billing logic the client already trusts, which needs careful, non-breaking refactoring rather than a rewrite. You'll grow into greater ownership as the project moves toward launch, with a Tech Lead who's directly responsible for developing you.
Build and maintain shared Razor components and theming pieces to the architecture set by the Tech Lead
Implement assigned pieces of the Stripe, Twilio, and SendGrid integrations
Write clean, testable ASP.NET Core MVC / EF Core code that follows the team's standards
Refactor inherited prototype code carefully, preserving the billing logic the client already trusts
Work closely with the automation QA engineer to unblock testing
Participate actively in code review — both giving and receiving feedback
Flag blockers and risks early, and provide accurate estimates for your work
Use AI-assisted engineering tools as part of your daily workflow
Solid, hands-on experience with .NET Core / ASP.NET Core MVC and Entity Framework Core
Comfortable with Razor and Bootstrap front-end work
Some exposure to Azure (App Service, SQL Database), or a strong willingness to learn quickly
Some experience with payment or third-party API integrations (Stripe, Twilio, SendGrid, or similar)
Comfortable working on and refactoring existing code without breaking what already works
English B2 — enough for daily written and verbal communication with the team
Nice to have: exposure to CI/CD pipelines, familiarity with AI-assisted engineering workflows, some React experience, prior consultancy or outsourcing project experience.
You'll be working on a real, funded product with senior technical mentorship built directly into the role — your Tech Lead is explicitly accountable for growing you, not just assigning you tickets. The work is concrete: features and integrations that ship into a live, commercial launch, not busywork on the side. You'll be part of a small, high-trust team on a launch-critical build, with real room to take on more ownership as the project progresses.
